Old vs. Clueless...

This is how I currently see the Presidential race, Old (McCain) vs. Clueless (O'Bama). Listening to repeated news interviews from the past weekend, the comments made by both candidates, I'm beginning to wonder which would be the lesser of two evils!!!

If only there was a miracle, perfect candidate somewhere out there in the big ol'U.S.A....hardcore reality, while there may be quite a few viable candidates, it is obvious that they have enough sense as to not put themselves up for the office of President...can you blame them? How in the Hell can one man or woman run a nation like ours? I can see any astute business man/woman bagging their head against a brick wall having to deal with an impossible Congress and staff...

Not to mention the time for filing to run for office of the President has passed...a friend mentioned that if a someone decided to come out and run by the end of August that they just might just have a real chance and beat the other two candidates soundly...

Unfortunately, that scenario won't happen, in most of the states I was able to research, the filing period for President of the U.S. was February of 2008...so, there won't be any stellar, surprise candidate by the end of August...though I was liking the thought of it. At this juncture another choice would be most welcome.

So, to me, right now, we've got Old vs. Clueless!!!!

You know, there's a big move on to write in Hillary. Sadly, I'm afraid that will split the votes and we'll get four more years of a Bush crony. This election cycle really does suck on both sides.

I'm not a big fan of Hillary but I'm beginning to think she may have been the lesser of the two evils as far as the Democrats go...if they write her in at the convention it will definitely add drama and maybe even some excitement which is rare at the conventions...just frustrating to be left with the current two choices.

I know politics can be a very hot thing to talk about, but why vote in a man who has said he will be raising taxes on everything. Or seems that way. Give me the old man.

I'm not really sure about the "clueless" part there Liza.

"Clueless" is what's driven the political agenda for the last 8 years!

"Clueless" is what has had our fathers, mothers, sons and daughters in the gunsights of a civil war for 7 years.

"Clueless" is an energy policy written by Enron, the coal industry and big oil companies.

Personally, I think I'd take a vision of what could be realized if we act as partners in this world as opposed to more years under an old white guy up to his keister in special interests and right-wingnut religious zealots.

Now, a point has been made about the career politicians and their forgetting the principle "of the people, by the people and for the people". This can be rectified very simply: VOTE THEM OUT!!!

Next, let's tackle the "raise taxes" statement. His proposal is to raise taxes on those making over 200K per year...back to the Clinton rates of 1992-2000. He also proposes a windfall profits tax on big oil (who, by the way, have posted RECORD profits the last 2 years) Neither will affect me...and I doubt they'll affect pie52me either. Pie..please stop listening to Rush, Sean and Bill O...the raising taxes mantra has worn a bit thin...kinda like the liberals don't love their country crap.

Nope..I can do without more old white guys who have no clue.

From an old white guy.
