Sitcoms & Rekindling the Romance (2 separate Stories)

OK, my sit-coms are back and I have to admit they did not start out with a bang.

Ten years ago I would have turned up my nose at someone who watched sitcoms and ask if they had nothing better to do with their time. But I found that it was a good way to spend time out of bed with my wife, and used it as a way for us to become friends (get to know each other better).

Yea, I know that this sounds strange, but when we first met we got together for sex and it remained all about sex after that . When we separated we realized that we knew nothing about each other. So when we got back together we decided to try to be friends and as time went on we became serious lovers, and better friends.

We’ve kinda made it a tradition to watch TV and movies together; every now and then I bring home old romantic comedies, which you’ve all heard me mention before, for us to watch together. If there’s something on TV that she like watching and I have no interest in, she tapes it in the bed-room while my shows are taped out in the living room.

Anyway, back to the original conversation; usually when you have to wait this long for something, you’re usually so glad to see it that you find it to be really great. I can’t say I did in this instance, although Modern Family might have been funnier than I’m giving it credit for (uh-oh! There I go messing up my English again).

The following is a list of the sit-coms I love watching:

A. Mike & Molly

B. Big Bang Theory

C. Two and a Half Men

D. Raising Hope

E. The Middle

F. Modern Family

Based on my ratings I would have to say Modern Family and The Middle (which is a subtly hilarious sit-com ) were the best of the lot last week, with Raising Hope not getting a point since it hasn’t re-started as yet.

Of course, since I watch these sometimes a week or two after air date, I could actually be influencing some of these scores in a negative manner but, who cares? It’s mine to do with as I will (until I stop having fun with it). Who knows, I might even change up my rating system.

Actually this post is just for me and my wife, so don’t feel compelled to join in. Of course, if you have a comment, don't be afraid to leave one. I just like to have fun with myself sometimes; one of the marks of a self-centered human being!!

I really really love it that you guys are good both IN AND OUT of bed... not very common around these parts!!!

Well, I'm both something of a show-off and somewhat egotistical, so I try to be good at everything that I do.

When you're the way I am, it is quite embarrassing when we fail, even though we know we can't be perfect.

Not saying it isn't funny, but it's not Charlie Harper funny.

The producer (Chuck Lorre) has 3 shows on, Mike & Molly, Big Bang Theory, and Two & A Half Men, and 2 1/2 is the worst of the lot.
