Novelty Seed Plant Weed A Poem

I am thinking of him
Again.
What else is new?
He has been
On mind
For a month or two.

That is it?
Yup that is how long
I have known him.
Not too long
In the grand scheme of things.
Perhaps he is a novelty yet
But like those
Will he wear thin?

Ah that is the question!
Will he grow from a seed
To a magnificent flower or tree?
Or will he be a weed
That I find offends me ?

I had best not let him know
I have pondered this scene.
For what guys wants to be
Known as a plant
Of some kind?
Now if he is compared
To a vegetable like
A cucumber or zucchini?
That might be easier to see
And believe.
You know how men
Take pride in the size
Of a certain part
Of their anatomy.
