Less Bleak A Poem

What do I know?
I have no clue
When it comes to
Keeping a man's interest.
It is not something
I have had had
Much success with.

I am good in the novelty phase.
Guys appreciate my
Willingness to please.
But then the novelty wears off
And off they go
To greener pastures,
To use a well known phrase.

I will sleep on it.
Maybe in the morning
The landscape will be
Less bleak
As when the weather clears.
My outlook matching
And I have renewed
Joie de vivre.
And optimism.
