I haven't posted a "Half Nekkid Wednesday" pic in quite some time.
I remember it's originator....wonder what happened to him? His blog was always pretty popular.
I got this pic in just under the wire! I had sort of a busy day. Dr. appointment and trying to get a nap in. The nap was so not happening. I was falling asleep at my computer, but then when I went to lay down, all shit kept breaking loose in my house from the to the neighborhood , to the animals barking and cats running across my body. So yeah...no nap. I surpassed my tiredness.
But enjoy the HNW picture. It is in my profile as well, but thought I would post it here for the standards like me.

You have heard the metaphor. The photo is the Parable of the Blind Leading the Blind.
The message is that the blind, can not lead the blind, because they all then fall into the ditch.
There seems to be a lot of that going on.
So many blind followers just going right along the same path.
A person would think that after so much time that the same mistakes would not be made. But as such with the blind leading the blind...they do not see, and they just follow blindly, a blind leader who them self knows nothing of changing their wayward path.
People will do what they want.
Most will not follow blindly. They already know of the stupidity and it is too late to try and change any of it now. So try as they might to convince others they are indeed not blind, they try to convince us that they know what they are doing. Pffft...
I won't take advice from those who know nothing of what they speak.
In the lifestyle community, it is most common for couples to be a part of it. Couples who seek playmates to enhance their own sex life.
Would you take advice then from someone who does not even play as a couple? Or someone who would leave their spouse out of the equation...or want to play with those who look to replace their spouse? What about those that don't even play in the lifestyle, but claim they have great friends there...Would their advice even pertain to you or be relevant? That is not even to speak to their experience in the lifestyle. I would rather get advice from someone who has been in the lifestyle for a good number of years then someone who is new. Experience speaks volumes.
Inexperienced advice is foolish and self serving.

I took a trip to the local Bath & Body Works. They have the fall candle scents out, and those are by far my favorite!!
My house smells divine!
Burning the Leaves scent in my room.
Burning the Creamy Pumpkin scent in the dining room.
Burning the Carved Pumpkin scent in the bathroom. (a small jar)
Just had to take a pic with my Leaves candle 
Oh, and I ended up going back to the store too, because they are having their 3-wick sale. I had to get the Fireside Marshmallow...because I fell in love with that scent last year, and I also picked up Nutmeg and Spice...omg it smells so good.
Plus I picked up four of the wall flower scents, in Marshmallow Fireside (2)(not for me), Spiced Cider (yum), and Pumpkin Cupcake (yum).
My house is going to smell yummy nummy!

So we had info on the group blog before, about what a lifestyle party is like, and a lot of other lifestyle relevant blogs.
Such a shame to have lost them all. So we will replace some of the info.
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....yeah well sometimes simple minds just have no idea how to come up with an original idea. They have no fucking clue how to do their own thing without copying someone else.
At any rate. Lets begin...shall we? 
Topic at hand...from my perspective.
What a lifestyle party should be like....it should be FUN!
That means no drama. No cliques. No dictatorship.
I don't want to go to a party and have to fill out a bunch of bullshit before I even get in.
I don't want to have to put up with cliques of people who have been there forever and don't know how to talk or even be nice to others. Or, if by chance they learned their manners or remembered them for a night, they are fake as fuck about it. I would bounce from a party like that.
I just want to go and meet others in the lifestyle who are there for the same reason I am. To find some potential playmates!
I already posted that at the parties we host, you don't have to put up with any bullshit like that. It is simple. So there is only room for fun times.
Can you make friends? Sure if you want. I am not going to assume you are daft, and have no clue how to make friends lol.
But I will be honest here. Most folks are looking for a good time in the sex department. Plus we have not had the best of luck with "friends" from the lifestyle. Not sure what everyone's experience has been...and we have been doing this for 16 years, so we have been around that block a time or two.....You can forge sexual friendships, but that is not the same as vanilla friends.
The friends we have kept from the lifestyle (can count them on one hand), are HONEST, not fake, not about their own agenda, and flexible (as in life not bendy). Plus we don't have a sexual relationship with any of them.
What else is there....what do you wear to a party? What ever the fuck you want. Even if it is a theme party. Themes are just suggestions, and help with decoration ideas lol. You can wear what you are comfortable in.
Type of people at a party....all kinds from all classes of society. It is your job to find who you are attracted to and go say hello. Although, everyone at our parties are always all together talking to one another. Such a plus when it comes to meeting others and avoiding cliques. We will invite you right on over to join in the convo.
Parties should be fun. Ours are. We do the most hilarious games that get everyone involved, laughing and talking to one another. I would share what they are but then that would be giving more ideas to those with no imagination. (but if you really want to know, then just email)
We have the best door prizes to give away. Not cheapo shit. Stuff we, ourselves would like to take home. With the exception of a bunch of crap porno DVD's that some dumb shit gave us lol. I am so sorry if you attended one of the parties and ended up with one of these, we are just trying to get rid of the goddamn things lol. Garbage perhaps?
We also don't bombard you with a bunch of shit we think you should buy. We have some t-shirts, tank tops and bags with our logo on them, but that is 'bout it. People like the gear.
We don't claim to have the "only" privately owned lifestyle club in our area either. That would totally make us liars. lol...we know there are many in our area. They certainly are not publicly owned lol.
Since we respect "Discretion" as stated in another blog post as well. We are not going to be flying our 'freak flag' out front of our venue for all the world to see.  Our guess is, you figured out where the party was at to begin with...its not like you are going to be tooling around town like some scavenger huntin' fool looking for it.
Simple and fun. That is what we want and that is what we provide.
Great music to dance to, lighting that is cool as shit, some nibbles to keep up your endurance, a bar to get some alky-hol, like-minded people, and the rest is up to you.
These are off-premise parties as well. That means no sex. They are only a place to meet others in the lifestyle. Anything else is against the law for where we host our parties. No secret sex in the bathroom either...still a no no. I mean who is that horny and nasty anyway? lol Go get a room, they would be all of 50 feet away at our parties.
This is pretty much what a lifestyle party should be like in a nutshell, according to my own damn opinion. So you are in luck! Because we happen to provide just that hahahaha!

For real. I had a spinal cortizone injection today. 
Lots of fun. Nah, the procedure itself wasn't too bad. The Doc was the best, and totally walked me through the entire procedure and was super duper nice. I only felt slight discomfort...pinching, burning, and pressure. That is what I felt. 
Don't know yet if it will help. We shall wait and see. My back does hurt now.
I get to lay in bed with my laptop, and an ice pack on my lower back. So I am just chillaxin' and surfin' the web. It's all good. 
In the pic I posted with this blog...you see the dimples in the back??? Right in between those dimples is where I got my injection.

Discretion and the Lack of It......

This is a quick revised edition of my take on discretion in the lifestyle.
This is always a number one factor within the lifestyle with most people.
Why?
Mostly because of old outdated stigma's that come with the territory of being a "swinger". Which is an outdated term itself.
Which is why we prefer, "lifestyle". It is a much broader term and can include the single people, and those who are gay as well.
It would then refer to an alternate "lifestyle".
Anyway...people who choose to participate within the lifestyle are often judged for their choice. Because of this, most people prefer that it is kept secret. At least from their everyday lives and the people they encounter. Such as work, family, and vanilla friends. (Vanilla friends, are those who are not a part of the lifestyle)
That seems completely legit as a reason as well. I mean we don't live the lifestyle 24/7. Some have family, work, etc. Extra curricular adult playtime is something that you do on the weekends or that you plan ahead for.
So discretion would be paramount to one's decision to get involved in the lifestyle. I mean you don't want people giving out personal information about you, and vice versa.
You want the people you encounter to respect discretion and know without a doubt that breaking discretion would be unforgivable in the lifestyle community.
As it should be.
When we host parties, we don't ask you for ANY of your personal information. Why would we?
Unless we plan on holding YOU responsible for something. Right? Or using it against you....keep reading...
But not how we operate. We don't ask you for all that info then tell you its for your own protection lol. That is just stupid.
We also don't hide behind some facade of made up rules and regulations you must follow. Then threaten to ban, suspend, or kick you out if you piss off the wrong person. Again, just stupid.
We just host parties...by that I mean we just provide the place and the music etc, and you get to come and have fun without all the drama.
It is nice and simple. No long drawn out bullshit.
Speaking of bullshit...(don't you love that transition? lol)...and discretion....
We have pretty much shared that we are in the lifestyle with our family(not of course). That way there are no surprises, because we had to deal with a lot of bullshit from some pretty f*cked up people who think they are all f*cking sneaky and shit. Not so much.
We had state officials calling my hubby's work to ask him questions about our parties...yeah, so not cool! We could count on two fingers the people who would have done that, and had that info (where my hubby works). Including our home number, because the same state officials called our home too.
So you definitely need to be wary of who you trust.
Then we had to deal with other bullshit on another social media site. Where the same f*cked up people used our names to connect us with the lifestyle. Again..not so cool.
They made up a fake name (imagine that) and posted a bunch of bullshit.
The only time we ever gave out any of that personal info was when we belonged to another local "club" and dealt with people from that place. So you can go ahead and decide and figure out that one. Because who else would "care", what we were doing? Oh, that's right, no one else! Because everyone else has a life. LOL.
That is our personal story of discretion...and the lack of it we found within the lifestyle in our community when we trusted people that claim that they are not going to use your info for harm, or malice.
Just be careful who you give out your personal info to. Be discreet yourself and hope that you get discretion in return.
Definition of Discreet (from Merriam-Webster Dictionary):
1: the quality of having or showing discernment or good judgment : the quality of being discreet
(a good quality to have in the lifestyle)
2: ability to make responsible decisions
(another good quality to have in the lifestyle)
Synonyms:
discreetness, common sense, gumption, sense, levelheadedness, policy, prudence, sense, sensibleness, wisdom, wit
(all good qualities as well within the lifestyle)
You certainly don't want to hang with people that don't respect discretion and all of its definitions. I know I wouldn't and I don't.

A Pain in the...

I have posted already about my new, no bullsh*it policy in life.
My reasons for this are numerous. As I am sure some of you can relate. But my number one reason for this, is my health. I live every day in chronic pain. Since it is new to me, I am just learning to cope with it. I am supposed to be trying to lead a zen life lol...with as little stress as possible according to my Dr.s.
Pain management is good, and it takes the edge off most days.
But I happen to be very irritable because of the pain. Breakthrough pain has a way of tearing down your defenses. So I have a low tolerance for bullsh*t from anyone. So pissing me off is not a wise idea because I have not mastered any of my coping skills yet, and when I get pissed I get really angry, and when I get really angry, I seem to have a lack of control over that anger now, and it can completely overcome me. To the point, where I will hunt you down if you piss me off, and teach you the lesson not to f*ck with me. I have scared more than one person a time or two over the last few months for a lot less than crossing me. Mostly it was accidental scaring on my part because I just couldn't reign in my anger. Oops.
Pain has a funny way of really messing with you. You really need a lot of time to adjust. If you ever really do. I don't know. I talk to a lot of folks who live with chronic pain, and the anger and irritability thing is really an issue that we work with on a daily basis sometimes. I have been given the advice from a lot to not feel guilty over it lol. I don't.
Good and bad days. That is pretty much what it boils down to. A flare up of pain could equal a flare up of anger. Especially if someone gets you mad.
I also find the anger is different when someone accidentally gets in your way, or if that person is being an asshole and pissing you off on purpose, or does something that pisses you off. You can reign in your anger if it was accidental, but much much harder to do if the person just got in your face.
Not too many people get up in your business though. Wise, and most people really don't. Which is probably a good thing lol. But woe to those who do.
Perfect example: My own mother actually understands exactly how I feel. Because she suffers the same pain daily. It is probably where I inherited this from. But she knows all too well about anger and when people get in your business and up in your face. She actually got arrested for whoopin' her nosy, good for nothin' neighbors ass. LOL Only had to sit for an hour or so though.
The woman deserved it. Believe me. She and her family are racist sacks of sh*t. They were spouting off from their porch, calling racist names, and my mother had enough. Walked over to her porch and right in front of that b*tches husband, she grabbed her by the hair of the back of her head and just started wailing on her. I so wish I could have seen it. Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree hahaha. At least when it comes to those who think they need to get up in our face and in our business.
That was about a year ago. My mom and her friend are not to touch the neighbors for one year. My mom is saying she needs to call her lawyer to find out if that year is up yet, cuz bitch be needing another ass whooping lol.
Chronic pain...I tell ya....it makes a bitch crabby as hell. Not someone you want to intentionally piss off.
My dad too....deals with chronic pain. Runs in the fam obviously. Plus he is a disabled veteran. OMG...when he gets mad...whoa! He makes us run for the damn hills lol. No joke. But then he also suffers from PTSD, so that only adds fuel to that fire.
I find my workouts help a lot. I keep it low impact as much as I can. But that adrenaline push from working out helps with the anger. But I havn't worked out in a few weeks so you can just imagine.
My new cat is good therapy as well. Her purring actually keeps me calm. She seems to know when I am having a bad pain day too and she sticks by me like glue. Bless her little furry heart.
If any of you suffer from chronic pain, feel free to post about it. Let me know if you have a pet that helps you as well. What do you do to control the anger and rage you feel when someone pisses you off. How do you control it? Besides just acting on it and whooping someones ass lol...because I imagine that while it is satisfying and gratifying, that going to jail more than a few times would get old.
Here is to finding inner peace and strength not to act upon our anger. Please Lord give me the strength not to whoop a bitches ass today. lol

It is, I must say, a beautiful day. (say that in Ed Grimley's voice...y'all remember the old school Saturday Night Live!)
We are getting ready for fall. Happy to see summer coming to an end. The hot weather is tiresome.
I have recently adopted a no bullsh*t policy for my life lol.
I don't have time for it.
Nor do I have time for losers that want to meddle, and poke their nose in my business.
I have been working out all summer, lifting weights,doing cardio and calisthenics. You should freakin' see my arms...a beast lol. You gotta love the adrenaline rush when you work out! Plus I have been doing some beginner kickboxing. So much fun!! 20 pounds lighter and some good muscle build on this chick! All hard work and hard earned! I am continuing on with all of it into the Fall and Winter as well, of course.
NO pain no gain. I push through my pain like a freakin' beast!
Motivation is a key factor. I have motivation.
I even have new motivation now. 
Haters gonna hate, and I just use that shit like fuel. Smiling away and shaking my head at the foolishness. *bounce bounce* lol
I am building into One Bad Bitch now.
