A New Path

In the past, I rushed and baked like crazy at work, reaping the rewards given to me by my customers, and their appreciation. This year, I took a different path to a rewarding life. Didn't work 60 or 70 hours at the bakery, only a few hours over a couple of days, my "ball and chain" of sorts. For years I was tied to my passion of baking to please my loyal customers. This year, spent my time in a more uplifting, rewarding way, a new path. I spent my time giving hope to others, visiting veterans, delivering meals to the needy, being a better person for the community. There is more to life than working hard for others. There is the new light that one can bring to troubled souls, at what most people in the country feel should be a joyous time. Events in my life now allow me to spread some comfort to others, perhaps to make up for some of my past. I pray all of you had a pleasant holiday!

Your Right To Vote!

It is your Right to Vote! I won't endorse who I voted for (I always vote early), but like to remind you that it is important for you as a citizen to vote. Who or what you vote for is up to you to decide. As a world traveler, I have seen places where citizens are not allowed to vote, even in this day and age! Don't pass up this right!

Looks like I will just be a regular member.......no ''super powers" of gold. LOL! That's fine with me. Up early, as usual, catching up some here (mostly to see if I could still visit). Miss you all!

Enjoying Day Life...Semi-Retirement

Yes, I'm alive n well! Enjoying "Day" life, a normal schedule that my semi-retirement now allows! I work at the bakery 1 or 2 days a week, sometimes not at all, if I choose. Nice to be free to have all that time away from it. I still enjoy the work, but enjoy the time away even more at this stage of my life! And, even better, living a day schedule for the first time in some 35 years. I do some "outside" consulting jobs, but mostly reviewing reports with only a few travel jobs. I try to keep them to a minimum. The money is rewarding for my extensive experience, and easy, so to say. My Lady is doing well, back issues fully resolved....YEA! Been spending quality time together, some traveling, enjoying our "new" life. Don't spend too much time here, but do get notifications from Hookup.Date Naughty Affair Dating. I will try and visit here more often, as I do miss you all!

Here's an over-due update. Got results back form tests, they decidedly were not good, full disk collapse, very little of it left. She had surgery last week, rubber strips screwed in to stabilize disks, only a tiny scar, unlike my 10" ones, 1/2" long, and nerve path widened. Life is much less stress filled now, much re-leaved I must say that the back issues for her are resolved for now. But, she faces rehab to get back into general good shape for just normal life.

My Lady's back issues caused her great pain this week, her disk n nerve shooting pains down her leg, leaving her unable to walk. Got her into the doctor, ordered an MRI, pain meds helping, so she is semi-mobile again. But, I've not had a lot of spare time to post here, taking care of her and working. I miss you all, will be back when possible.

Some Would Say I'm Crazy

Some would say I'm crazy, taking such consulting jobs at my age. Traveling the world to review certain things, give my opinions, suggest changes. Without my age, I wouldn't have the knowledge needed to see the necessary precautions. Besides, who could turn down 2 years salary here for one job lasting 7 days? Just for my knowledge and opinions!

Had fun in Vegas, my Lady got flown up to meet me, also a free ride. Could let loose there, since had "company" watching our backs. LOL! Got wild a bit, the drinks flowing freely. Enjoyed a couple of shows, was very relaxing! Didn't lose a single dime! Don't gamble, unless it's a sure thing! In Vegas, odds favor the house, so kept all my money safe in my pocket! Drove a rental car home to the hot weather (just as hot as Vegas), but had a good time!

With age comes a certain prospective, experience and knowledge that books can't teach. The "younger" generation hasn't reach that point yet, still needing expert advice from lessons learned some 30 to 40 years ago in a different time, same evil. Was easy for the young ones to discount/dismiss the need for older, wiser experts advise in these "modern" times. But, some things never change! They are slowly seeing that now, the need for sage advice from well aged, experienced "vets".
