My Babies, all long gone n missed terribly.
Prince- Oldest Keeshond, could hear my truck or car coming n be at the window, barking n jumping, even though many other cars n trucks had passed by without a peep from him.
Lady- A sweet angel, always loved to sit in my lap or snuggle up against me while I slept.
Jamoca- Was a rescued pup, think they had her de-barked, kept her on a short chain.
Sugar- A Chow, feisty n a rescue also, was my pillow many times.

I'm pretty sure I'm on the naughty list, so will just gladly accept my lump of coal. Thank you.
However, I do ask you take care of 2 very deserving friends, as they truly believe in you with all their hearts! Misskissin and JN63JPN have been longing for a special person to enrich their lives. That is my only Christmas wish to you.

About My Cabin

About my cabin, every log, every pillar, n every shingle was hand made. The logs are all nailed together, each stone in the fireplace/chimney glued in place. The shingles are cut from popsicle sticks n glued in place. The logs were made from wood dowels, sanded down.
Took me over a year to put it all together, could only work on it 15 or 20 minutes at a time.

My log cabin I built when off for my many surgeries (4) in 2004. Made everything by hand, all the wood parts.

Got the front wood rails d between the block posts, looks much better than the old, rotten s!
But, paid the price doing all that work, even though only did set at a time. Body still aching from crawling around, staining the wood, n carrying the 4x4's.

If you were to look up my records, the secret ones, you'd find nothing. No record of of anything about me, no name would match, no record of my service, nor of my job. Nothing. I am/was a total "ghost", "top secret", "need to know only", n "classified". If any records do survive and not destroyed, am quite sure they are buried deep in some vault in a very secure facility. Today, no one would even want to dig up up that intel, a dirty secret. My many ID's n passports..........all destroyed.
My personal records are all falsified, taxes n income, job, address......all fake. The money I earned at that time, paid by third parties, to third parties, to third parties, then to me in cash transfers. Sealed documents to hide any involvement, to insulate any knowledge, so making it plausible deniability. If asked, the answer would be the same, all the way to the top....."I did not know! Did not happen! Could not be possible!"
There's probably some that don't believe my stories, but so be it.
Although I paid a steep price, I actually do miss some parts of it. Adventure, excitement, n traveling the world. /

We pre-ordered something from black Friday ad from Lowes, bought n paid for.
Went to pick it up when the store opened at 6AM, was expecting huge line to get in. (I've NEVER shopped on black Friday......hate crowds). There was maybe, just maybe 50 or 60 people in line to get in the store! Amazing!
And, just went to service desk to get pick list item, sitting there waiting for me, no one in line there!!!!! Took me all of 5 minutes to pick it up, and they loaded it the truck for me!
Saw on the news deserted stores, after the first rush, empty of customers......Wallymart, Targlet......no shoppers! Seems Amazlon n online deals have killed the "black Friday" plague! RIP!

All the old recipes I learned from relatives I keep in my head, years of practice keeps them fresh. Seems that they're a dying art form, though, what with complete pre-made turkey dinners, packaged noodles, frozen dough for bread or rolls, frozen pies.
No one has time to make such timely items to celebrate holidays!
Rush, rush, rush! The "old ways" slip away, slowly forgotten. Sad!

Getting Ready for 1st Real T-Day

For the first time in a long-assed time, getting ready for Thanksgiving, and having the time to actually prepare for it!
Cooked up the giblets in the slow cooker today so they're nice n tender for the stuffing n gravy (I'm the only one that likes them that way, old fashioned way!). Have the bread already drying out for the stuffing, seasoned.
Turkey thawing in the fridge.
Will bake pumpkin pie tomorrow, so it's plenty cool.
Got an electric roaster to cook the turkey, since our oven is only an apartment sized one, too small to handle the roasting pan.

Replacing Fence Rails

Am replacing wood fence rails that run between block posts ( 2 foot x 2 foot), each section has 2 rails. The old wood rails are rotten n falling apart (4" x4" x 83 3/4"). Just doing 2 at a time for now, the middle 2 kept falling off the brackets because no wood was left. The ones by the mail box are 9 foot long, but will do last.
After I cut them to size, gave them a good coat of Thompson's waterproofing so they'll last longer. Hopefully longer than me. (LOL, just kidding)

A Peanut Growing!

Not only did the squirrels plant corn that's growing, a peanut plant popped up! Will put it a pot n see if can get peanuts from it!
Some of the corn is 4 foot tall (squirrel planted), mine are about 3 foot. Weather during the day been running 10 to 15 degrees above average!
