Fireflies

Little points of light
Dancing in the night

In the fog shrouded field they beckon me
Tiny little lights flying free

I roll in the grass with wild abandon
Fireflies float above me, lighting at random

Capturing my attention with their zig-zag flight
With childlike glee, I clap in delight

I don't think I've seen any fireflies since I moved to Florida.
Maybe they don't like the heat.

But know i'll get that chance in a biT , so if I'm drunk enough to see double would that make it twice the fun!!!! did I ever tell you about that i once Thought I was married to twins until closed one eye.

 I wonder if fireflies should be an endangered species...I haven't seen nearly as many the last few years as I have in the past. My yard used to be loaded with them, and now they are just sporadic.

I passed this field just FULL of fireflies and had to stop and run amok in it. I felt like a kid again.....till I ran out of breath, had to sit down and catch my breath then got mad cuz I got wet from the dew!
