Sin... with all due respect it will be the effing definition of censoring - if you require or compel people to change their footer...

Indeed you are, respectfully, changing your tune. Your original request was:

"I respectfully suggest that you NOT allow members responding in this blog on any subject to post gigantic pictures of their genitals. We will go to their profiles if we want to see more of them."

I stress to you 'not allow' or 'censor'.

I also disagree with your assessment that simply asking people to not post them will be enough. What happens when the poster does not read or is not aware of the place where Ryan puts this request? What he deletes the comment? Great customer service.

The bottom line is that 'gyno' shots do not do it for me. But I think that your suggested solution is not a good one, panders to your personal tastes and is hard to enforce, in short a waste of time and energy when there this blog is for more important things (i.e. the fixing of bugs).

What I should add to this is that I am not Ryan, so if he agrees with you, then I respect that. But the bottom line is while I do not find your example shot attractive, if that is what she wants as her footer then I defend her right to have it there... and you will have to learn to live with your discomfort or perhaps move to another site where you would not have to endure such shots... rather than getting the world to march to beat of your drum? Said with all due respect

"This wasn't really a problem until the giant sized photos were allowed"

Well as I have said, I do not see it being a massive problem now, not for those who can bring a sense of maturity and proportion to the table. Not pleasant, but live and let live, it is, after all, a picture... it will not jump off the screen and bite you. It is not about people showing respect to you, or being inconsiderate to you... indeed it is not about you at all. Their picture, their post, their decision.

I defend your right to express your opinion too... but what you are doing is expressing your opinion and then asking for a policy change to be imposed on people and for their decisions and actions, about how they represent themselves, to be curbed and bought into line with your opinions... and that I do not defend. At all.

I do not think that it is relevant that this is a support blog... it is not holy ground. It is still a support blog on a sex website and cannot afford to start becoming partial to people based upon the fact that they are quite forward with their photography, indeed I would think it ridiculous were it to... finally I see no relevance as to your length of membership, it affords you no extra voice nor consideration... indeed having been here that long (a similar length to how long I have been here) you should know better and display more toleration.

Look, bottom line. Not my blog, not my decision, so lets see what Ryan says, after all he might entirely agree with you. Finally, we do not agree on this, nor shall we, probably, ever. Good luck to you.

LOL thank you Ryan!! I've been saying that for years now!

Don't know how this turned into what looks like another argument about cock shots... but then again can't see the image you added so..

OK .. y'all did it AGAIN. You went in and added "Photo Albums" for groups - with NO way for the moderators to either accept or deny or delete said albums. My Groups Rules STATE that if you want to billboard members with photos and begging - do it from your OWN profile. We don't NEED group albums without the option to remove or accept them .... even banning the questionable member who decided to ignore the rules didn't fix it. When oh WHEN are y'all gonna make a change that is COMPLETELY thought through - or at least has an opt-out /delete button for stuff like this ?

~ [blog kelidgh]~ I am, indeed

This month I'll ask for:

full site blocking
search for partial username or with wildcard search
beta testers for new releases

I do think that what you are asking for is a from of censorship, and I think it's too bad that you lowered yourself to name calling: saying he was really not mature,is the same as calling him immature, and to me that's name calling.

I think this was mentioned once (perhaps this month,) or perhaps in the massive bug reporting part:

Since 01/22/2010 or 01/23/2010 all of the people in my friend network are showing up under "my friend's activities" numerous times and nothing is noted beside their screen name (like where one would normally see "Upgraded to gold" or "Posted a photo / blog post.")

I have 12 pages of one friend's supposed activities, most of which occurred at 01/23 10:16(am)!

Y'all think y'all can get this one fixed? Surely, I can't be the only one with this issue. Thanks.

Oh dear Sunog you have fallen foul of the 'disagrees' I do apologise... but I do not even see what the problem is here...

People,

if you do not like some of the images that you see on Hookup.Date Naughty Affair Dating/Passion please feel free to activate your CONTENT FILTER which the site provides for you people who have a more sensitive disposition... there is no need to ask for other people to be censored so that they conform to your idea of what is acceptable... i.e. the site has empowered you to change how you access the website, to make it more acceptable to your pallet so that they do not have to change everyones website so that you do not get offended.

Simples.

I have really come today to ask for an explanation. Now I realise that this is not a suggestion and that you are not the target for all the things wrong in Hookup.Date Naughty Affair Dating... but...

I would like to say, upfront, as well that this is a change in tack. Instead of highlighting an area and asking that you solve it, this time I am asking you to explain to me how this situation comes to be, so that I can rationalise it and understand why it never gets fixed, or is taking so long.

About once a month (or every two months) I notice, in the searches that I do, a few young ladies who seem to share a lot in common. They are:

    - all London based, usually West London
    - in the age range 23-25
    - always uses the same form of username 'sexual name followed by a number'
    - always logged in and out at the same times
    - always uses the same 'type' of stolen picture for each generation of profiles, in this case a topless woman
    - always uses the same type of 5 line profile

So I round up the profiles and report them and they get removed. The current list is:

    brianna198507
    dontstop17433
    sexfriend17848
    naughty158392
    sofunn51492
    sweety72439
    titegal6722
    luvhard8222
    wetlips69278
    giveit2me771
    dreamer80672

These are the previous profile names that I have reported... since I started saving the profile names to see how many it got to (remember that there have been months and months of unrecorded names):

    hardnfun18762
    silkysoft1822
    2townwithme143
    mytuch17421
    itsbest78392
    groovin001673
    momentus838653
    ultimate19422
    newnhot184
    lickn69
    sexygirl1200
    pussy4pleasure12
    allnite7291
    cozygirl911
    riteluv58211
    niteluv82433
    heythere62783
    fantasygal02759
    doitnow67211
    notnluv4711
    attraction652043
    dreamer78222

Some people, from the old A/L would say, at this point, 'who made you the police..?' They are also the same people who would complain of 'fakes'. In essence if this is going to be an effective website then people like this person need to be prevented from making profiles and it is in all paying members interests to stop that.

Now this person never changes their pattern and so this is what I would like explained:

    i) is it a computer program creating these profiles?
ii) why can this person not be I.P. banned... why does the site allow them to come back?
iii) Is it the site themselves? There have been allegations that the site creates its own profiles to boost figures?
iv) why do these profiles get approved? They are very easy to spot. Why can they so easily slip through the net?
    v) why do I have to spend my time rounding them up? I am not the site police, I am merely a citizen. So why do I have to spend so much time reporting them to the site police? What are the site police doing?

Another example of this is sophiemariex. I have reported her numerous times. Why? Because she is using a picture, on her profile, of Ashley Dupre (still up) a New York based prostitute who was involved with the Eliot Spitzer sex scandal. She has not even been required to take the picture down.

sexycomar is based in Birmingham London (the equivalent of saying that I am cased in Chicago Boston)... her picture is obviously a stolen glamour soft porn pic, unless her ex is a professional photographer with a studio equipped with at least 4 pro flash. Reported, no action taken.

At this point I want to contextualise that I am not someone who thinks that everyone is a fake. No am I bitter that my ex left me, a woman hater who obsesses over fake profiles as an explanation as to why I cannot get laid. But as I wonder through Hookup.Date Naughty Affair Dating these fake profiles are so easily spotted that I just wonder why they are not more effectively dealt with when they are created and submitted, when they active and when honest members report them... the net effect of not dealing with them is that it cheapens the brand.
Just to bring me back to my original point... these are the latest batch of usernames that belong to that singular multi-profiler since making the above post... I now request on every report an IP ban... to no effect...

sexybabe79433
distracted191642
littebit1783
sandy77775
lovely400000
erotic567390
berries80843
cherrykiss2422
satisfaction2032
finalegal0733
tillisay15830
eroticlust1853

I am also encountering resistance within the Abuse team to remove certain abuser's who are obviously using models pictures from site like MetArt... I have reported one such couple a number - say 5+ - of times (ironically they actually use the exact same models pictures) but the response I get is that it is being 'investigated' (yeah it takes months to do that type of investigation) and treated like I am making a false report and nothing gets done.

If you are thinking 'why is he being so exact in listing every profile', the reason is that I want you to understand, so that someone on the site can begin to work out an effective solution, how prevalent the problem is... all these usernames that I list are from one local area and are from one single multi-profiler. Where is the point in paying for a website where the majority of new profiles created in a month belong to obvious bots? And once one person thinks that then it is a slow deterioration as confidence in the site collapses. All the site has is goodwill, the confidence in the integrity of the brand... and yet I am losing (ironically after just upgrading for a hefty length of time) in the ability of the site to protect themselves and its member from this threat...

Whoever's genius idea it was to put a "upgrade now' banner in the top navigation frame in the chat rooms >> it's a shitty idea.

No seriously. I get it, you guys need people to sign up.

Honestly, It's seriously intrusive and randomly so. If I'm in a chat room that has more than 10 people people chatting, I can barely keep up (and that's saying something) and god help me if I try and chat while perving naked people on cam. It's all good if you've got some big ol monitor but I'm on a dinky laptop with my 15" screen. I'm not the only one with a dinky laptop.

The only thing I HAVE to do is eat, shit, and die. Everything else is a choice.

In response to Loosetooth's well-thoughtout and lengthy essays on the subject of fake profiles, please know that I live in California and see the exact same things you mention. It's not just London, it's a systemwide issue. At least 75% of current profiles I see in my area are phony and I would say 98% at least of the new ones are as well. The phonies are very obvious to spot. To me it seems the scammers aren't even trying very hard to disguise them anymore.

I must say that at this rate I am not going to be renewing my membership I have yet to meet anyone from this website and the only replies that I get are from spam bots that attempt to get me to email them. Its just disgusting. I am starting to get rather good at spotting them and that is all that I am seeing. I wonder how many real people are on here. Also I am starting to think that some of the paying memberships are spammers as well. Can something be done???

You want some good advice from someone who has actually met a decent number of women on here?

Lose the cock shot. Women know you have one and they're not impressed.

I HATE TO COMPLAIN, BUT THE WOMEN SELLING OTHER SITES (NOT REAL PEOPLE) IS OUT OF HAND. I WOULD SAY 8 OUT OF 10 ARE NOT REAL. I KNOW THE REAL WOMEN ARE TIRED OF BEING ASK ARE YOU REAL

Stop showing members that have deactivated their profile, or where their membership was revoked. I don't need to scan through profiles if they aren't active.

What's love got to do with it!
