 Oh gods death- the one about a talkative stomach!

When I was in high school, I had an English Lit class right before lunch break (around 12:30 pm or so). One day, we had "silent reading", where we took the hour to read X amount of pages in whatever book we were studying at that time.

Scenario setup: room full of 20 or so kids, quietly reading with their noses in their books, and my stomach loudly does this:

"REEEEEOOOOOWWWWERCK!"

Every pair of eyes, from front of room, sides, and behind me stopped dead and stared my way, including the teacher. A pregnant pause endured before the whole class lost it in laughter.

Me not skipping a beat, looking at abdomen: "Quiet, you!"
Teacher: "You're not hungry, are you, Miss M?"
Me not skipping another beat: "Not for school food, Sir!"

Laughter again ensues.
