Do any women NOT have to use points on IM?

I met with this woman a couple days ago who seemed completely oblivious to the fact that the IM requires you to use points now to chat. This is a requirement for ALL now right? Of is Hookup.Date Naughty Affair Dating only fucking over free members again?

 Women with gold memberships do not need to use points to chat. I also have standard member contacts and don't believe standard members need to use points to IM me.

 I don't have to use points to receive and answer IMs. Haven't tried to initiate an IM but guess if I did, I'd spend 10 points.

 In my experience the IM does not work very good. I have spent points only to have the system lock up, but it still takes the points.
