 The are supposed to be some work arounds to the issue. One being the gold member/s having added standard member contacts to their own gold membership.

 Really good question Rosie. I have over a hundred messages in my mailbox, and I can read about half of the first sentence in each one and can't reply. I say in profile that I can't read, chat or reply. I don't get it either.
