Too much to ask?

So, ladies and gentlemen, I pose another question to you all. I recently broke up with my boyfriend because he had no idea how to make me a priority in his life. We are both busy but all I asked is that he call every couple of days and when we make plans, don't cancel a couple of hours before. To boot, he didn't even call on Valentine's Day. Was I asking too much or was this justafiable dumping?
