Sex over 50?

My husband told me a story which I share with you.
One day a colleague of his was whistling full of joy, very unusual behaviour, he seemed extremely happy. When asked what is the reason for his happiness, he said it was his birthday (56th)and was looking forward to having a lustful night. He only had sex 3 times a year: on the wife's birthday, at Christmas and on his birthday.
Next day at work he was asked did he have a good night. No, he hadn't. His wife said "aren't you too old for it?" and that was the end of his sex life.
It sounds like a joke but if you think about it, it's very sad.
We have our first sexual encounter aged anything between 16 and 18, in some cases a bit earlier or later.
We have our first between 18 and 26, we have to watch out for the and inevitably our sex life becomes less regular.
Our become the priority and they stay with us for at least 20 years each. If we have 2 or more, the gap between them being in average 2 years, that means at least 22 years of sex-starved marriage.
By the time we are again on our own as a couple, we are in or very close to our 50's. Sex-life should restart then, but by then women got used to their headache  and poor men have to settle for cyber-sex (or look for real sex somewhere else)
Of course, the scenario above doesn't apply to all of us. Luckily there are exceptions. I myself do enjoy sex life at full and I guess so do all of you who read my blog.

Exhibitionism vs. vanity

Did you ever have the uncomfortable feeling that people see a connection between exhibitionism and vanity? That you can be labelled as vain although you just love to show off your best asset(s)? Apparently there's no difference between the two. Apparently.
In fact, they are miles apart in their meanings. Fear no more if you are an exhibitionist, it's nothing wrong with you as long as you don't practice it in inappropriate places or to audience .
Vanity has a vague narcissistic undertone, it's best described as a mild personality disorder, a case where the person is overestimating him/herself. Vanity is there for life, uncontrollable and permanent behaviour.
If you were vain, you wouldn't have an Hookup.Date Naughty Affair Dating membership. You would be too good for it.
You are a pure exhibitionist, "pure" meaning one of the four classes of exhibitionism. You don't do any physical harm to anyone, nor psychical harm- just think about it: we all are here to show and watch. It is the appropriate place and audience. We all get satisfaction from watching and exhibiting, we just love the pleasure and excitement of the "unusual".

Venus and Mars, Woman and Man

Did you know that women came from Venus while men came from Mars?
Is meant to symbolize women's nature vs. men's nature . They are so different.
Venus was the goddess of love and beauty in the Roman mythology, Mars was the god of war.
The astrological symbols for planet Venus ♀ and Mars ♂ are used to represent the female and male sex respectively, following a convention introduced in the the 18th century.

A short blah-blah before I get to the main subject (it might be interesting):
All the planets in our Solar System are named after Roman gods (which ultimately derive from those of the Greeks)
☿ Mercury- named after Mercurius, the messenger to the gods
♀ Venus- named after Venus, goddess of love and beauty
⊕ Earth-named after Terra Mater (Mother Earth), goddess of Earth
♂ Mars- named after Mars, god of war
♃ Jupiter- named after Jupiter, god of sky and thunder and king of the gods, the chief deity
♄ Saturn- named after Saturnus, god of agriculture
♅ Uranus- from the latinised version of the Greek god of the sky Ouranos
♆ Neptune- named after Neptunus, god of the sea

Now comes my subject: Women and Men, Venus and Mars.
Women are fragile, elegant, gracious, beautiful, sophisticated.
Men in turn are strong, direct, decisive, born warriors.
But how true is all that?
Women nowadays have almost absolute control over men, almost every big decision in a couple's life is taken by the woman.
She decides when her man is going to have sex, she has her headaches when and as often as she wants.
She will have sex when she wants a favor from you. She will deny sex when she is punishing you for a real or imagined frustration.
Man, you are sentenced to a sexless or sex-starved life.
What she doesn't know is that you will find your way around it. Either you are going to have cyber sex or find a person to have sex for real.
Women are not going to change that,no matter how hard they try.
Men on the other hand are placid, peaceful, lucid, reasonable- but foremost they are driven by instinct.
Men have the need for sex biologically encrypted, they are programmed to spread their genes.
They will chase the carnal pleasure as long as they are able to wake up with an erection.
Woman, you are sentenced to accept this as a fact.
In order to lower the chance of your man looking for sex outside the marriage, stop using sex as means of obtaining favours or as punishment. Just make love, have unconditional sex. More often, much more often than once a month.
Sex is the best antidepressant, fat-burning exercise and builds your confidence, it is bonding.
Sex is pleasurable for both genders, have as much sex as possible while you can.
