HOW MANY TIMES - Mistake in Beginning of 2016

2016 !!!!

How many times will we all write 2015 until we get the hang of doing it 2016. Never fails I goof up for about the first month before realizing that the prior year is done with, GONE, Zappo, never to be here again, except in the past tense.

Not as bad as it used to be, not much need for writing checks where it was mostly needed, but there are other places, so just keep it tucked in the front of the old brain, lest we make a mistake, could in certain cases be costly, like proving the date certain things actually happened.

REMEMBER, after 12 midnight tonight, just don't do it. This old crazy lady from NC said do not do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All have a great NEW YEAR !

Have been trying to set up a FB page. One gets so involved trying to not slight a friend by not commenting on their posts.

The software technology is not familiar to me, and it does weird things to me. Doesn't come out as I intend, especially moving pictures etc around. They land where they want too, and some even get lost.

Oh well, I will get the hang of it soon, I HOPE before it drives me crazy!!!!!

Need to discover how to pick up some of the family pictures and move them back to my pictures gallery, but haven't gotten that down yet. One of these days. Anyone got a simple explanation of how to do that? Sure would be nice.

Have a great NEW YEARS EVE!

JUST AROUND THE CORNER

Yep, is just around the corner. Only 3 full days left
before that wonderous day for us to celebrate.

If all presents desired are not yet bought and all the food for the feast
acquired for the fixing, better get out there among the multitude of people and fight your way to the counters for those purchases. It was all but a mad house of
shoppers, especially in the grocery on Saturday. Don't wait to the last minute, or one might miss out on desired purchases.

Everyone take your time and actually enjoy the shopping experience!!!!!

Chick-fil-A - "YES"

According to a Facebook post by Bill Callen relative to a tribute that left a Georgia resident Eric Comfort in complete shock.

A MAN walks into CHICK-FIL-A and is completely blown away when he saw THIS for VETERANS !

When comfort walked into a local Chick-fil-A recently, he discovered a "Missing Man Table' that contained a single rose, Bible and a folded American flag, as well as a plaque within which was the following explanation, "This table is reserved to honor our missing comrades in arms. The tablecloth is white -- symbolizing the purity of their motives when answering the call to duty. The single red rose, displayed in a vase, reminds us of the life of each of the missing and their loved ones and friends of those Americans who keep the faith, awaiting answers. The vase is tied with a red ribbon, symbol of our continued determination to account for our missing. A pinch of salt symbolizes the tears endured by those missing and their families who seek answers. The Bible represents the strength gained through faith to sustain those lose from our country, founded as one Nation under GOD. The glass is inverted --to symbolize their inability to share this evening's toast. The chair is empty --they ARE missing."

The store manager offered free meals to Veterans and family members on
last Veterans Day from 5pm to 8pm. The manager also put up a poster for customers could write in the names of loved ones who they have lost, "We've had a lot of people who have come in and seen it and been terribly touched. "It's been special to see."

WHAT a wonderful TRIBUTE!!!

Much different temp outside today from the 70's yesterday, dropped to 42
at my house at one point very early this morning.

Hard for this old body to adjust that quick, but may have to for a couple more days.

It's time we got into winter instead of this yo-yo junk. But understand it will be 'hot' by Xmas. WHO knows??????

Have a good weekend, finish up with your shopping for presents and all the GREAT
food all of us will splurge on !!!

NOW wonder where I could find a big 'hunk' to help take advantage of this stuff?????????

OLD SAYING !!!

My parents and grandparents, used to say "Warm Xmas, FAT graveyard", as the weather most often caused illnesses of one kind or another for young and old.

Sure hope that does not hold true this year, we have had exceptionally warm sunny, weather off and on for more than a week now, and not bad outside today, but rainy and supposed to be down in the 30's tonight. Enough to make even a healthy person sick, but lets hope NOT !!!!!

Have a good weekend ALL. js

Went out yesterday to pick up some last minutes items for the Holidays, and while in the grocery, spotted a big nice juicy slab of BBQ ribs; wandered a bit further and at the deli stumbled onto some fresh cooked collard greens.

Boy, did I have a feast last night, got some left for tonight. Most of U northerners don't like our southern collards, am I right? U don't know what you are missing. Going to cook some crispy cornbread to go with them tonight. js

What are we possibly in for weather wise down the road since we
are having Spring (70's) weather here in December. Another great warm sunny day unlike yesterday that was somewhat blustery, heavy rain showers and a bit cool.
Crazy, unusual weather - Makes one wonder WHAT is to come later, and whatever, we will deal with it.

Got one more thing off my bucket list today, got the pre-op physical out of the way in prep for surgery in early January. No biggy to get done, just one more thing that had to be done in a 4 day window and reported back to the surgeon. Not concerned at all about the surgery, just eager to get it done and hopefully rid myself of most of the vertigo problems that have been cropping up from time to time.

All you bloggers have a great week and finish up all those Xmas preparations and shopping. It will be here before we blink an eye next week. js

Hopefully none of this, enjoying the Florida like weather here too much!!!!

Yesterday generous good hearted citizens honored those in National,
Military and private cemeteries with the laying of Xmas wreaths associated with
WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA.

What an honorable site once all were placed on the graves of Veterans. THANKS to all volunteers who participated!!! This is a wonderful gesture to honor those before us who have given all.

And to those Veterans who assisted with this ritual, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!

GETTING IT DONE - MAY BE READY BY XMAS

Another wonderful sunny day here.

Been online doing some Xmas shopping, one never knows what reasonable sites
with free shipping you can find this time of year. NO expense for gas to run yourself ragged to find presents and needs, so you can afford to spend a $1 or $2 more if you like.

BUT can't go on another online DAY of splurging, so guess the shopping for me is about over.

All you other bloggers ready for the big day, if not the online shopping world is wide open, just read your fine print and be careful punching everything in. HAVE FUN, guys!!!
